Where does the $25 fee go?

The $25 cost of a HORNET AWARD is a straight donation to the Williamston Schools Foundation! This makes it tax-deductible (as allowed by law) for the sender and will go directly into WSF’s general fund to aid in the funding of future grants. 

Will the $25 I paid for my HORNET Award be given to the teacher I honored to be used in his/her classroom?

The full amount of the donation is put into the Williamston Schools Foundation General Fund and will be used to fund WSF’s grant requests. Grants through WSF are awarded twice a year and are available to all four schools within Williamston Community Schools.

How will I know that my HORNET Award order has been received or that my award has been delivered?

Williamston Schools Foundation will email you a receipt when your award has been printed! It will then be delivered within 2-3 days and a picture will be posted on our Facebook Page and Website.

I ordered an HORNET Award but did not receive an emailed receipt.

If more than a few days have passed, please email WSF. From there we will check our records to make sure we received your Hornet Award order.
Is there a deadline for sending a WSF HORNET Award?

There is not a deadline. You can send one at any time, even during school breaks or over summer vacation. But during those summer months only the awarded name will be listed on our Website.

Can I give a HORNET Award to a staff member who has retired or left the district?

We will always do our best to send your award to the staff member’s new address. If we aren’t able to locate them, we will contact you and offer a refund.
